Dragon Ball 5 DC Heroes Jiren Can Beat (& 5 Hed Lose To)
Jiren is a juggernaut in the Dragon Ball universe, but the pages of DC Comics hold even more incredible heroes.

Dragon Ball is an anime that’s been able to continually engage audiences for so long because it features such an eclectic group of characters, both heroic and evil. Dragon Ball Super introduces many new and powerful characters into the canon and Jiren proves to be one of the strongest fighters from any universe and one of the toughest challenges that Goku has ever faced.
Jiren is a juggernaut in the Dragon Ball universe, but the pages of DC Comics hold even more incredible heroes. Jiren is a Pride Trooper, which makes him practically his own universe’s version of a superhero, but it’s interesting to consider how he’d actually do against some of DC’s finest.
10 Can Beat: Vibe’s Portals Are Nothing To Jiren

Paco Ramon’s Vibe is a noteworthy DC hero for the fact that he’s the first Latin-American superhero to join the Justice League of America. The character has become more popular lately due to his depiction on the CW’s Flash series. Vibe deals with powerful shock waves and vibrations, which can even open up alternate dimensions. This is no small feat, but Jiren faces much worse in the Tournament of Power. Vibe’s shockwaves likely wouldn’t have more of an impact than the energy that’s created when Jiren or Goku powers up. Vibe’s just out of his element here.
9 Would Lose To: Swamp Thing Stays Eternal Thanks To The Green

Swamp Thing has always been an unconventional hero that leans into the darker corners of DC’s universe, but he’s slowly become more mainstream. There’s no disputing that when it comes to strength and abilities that Jiren is more powerful. Jiren could no doubt blow Swamp Thing to pieces, but this hero benefits from how that’s not necessarily a death sentence like it is for other characters. Swamp Thing draws his energy from The Green and it allows him to use the entire planet as his weapon and livelihood. It’s a level of resilience that’s likely too much for Jiren.
8 Can Beat: Animal Man Is At The Bottom Of The Food Chain

Bernhard "Buddy" Baker, otherwise known as Animal Man, unsurprisingly possesses the ability to inhabit the traits of any animal that he encounters. This may seem limiting, but occasions like Animal Man taking on the reflexes of a fly or the strength of a dinosaur show the versatility of his powers.
Despite all of this, Jiren is still on a whole other level due to his energy abilities. Animal Man can fly or swim to throw Jiren off, but there is no animal with raw destructive energy that he can pull from.
7 Would Lose To: Martian Manhunter Can Read Jiren’s Mind And Phase Right Through Him

Strangely enough, Martian Manhunter doesn’t look that dissimilar from Jiren and they both serve the purpose of powerful intergalactic aliens that strive to preserve the peace. Jiren’s strength is nearly unparalleled in Dragon Ball Super, but Martian Manhunter’s abilities are so helpful that he’d be able to get the upper hand. Martian Manhunter has immense strength and eye lasers like Superman, but he can also phase right through people as well as shapeshift his body into different forms. Most importantly, he possesses psychic telepathy skills and could just read Jiren’s mind and know his moves before they happen.
6 Can Beat: Jiren Scoffs At The World’s Greatest Detective

Batman is without question one of DC’s most popular and important heroes and the character is a testament to what can be accomplished without superpowers. Bruce Wayne of course has tremendous resources at his disposal that allow him to fight crime. This may be good enough in Gotham, but it’s not going to stand in Jiren’s Universe 11. Batman’s deductive reasoning won’t do him much good in comparison to Jiren’s immense strength and speed. Granted, Batman has been able to hold his own against Superman before, but Jiren doesn’t have a weakness to exploit, like Kryptonite.
5 Would Lose To: Superman’s Powers Or Brute Strength Can Put Jiren To Shame

Superman isn’t the strongest hero in DC’s universe, but he's become emblematic with unbelievable super strength and a list of skills to go along with it.
Superman often has to hold back his strength because his opponents can’t take it and it feels like the same is true with Jiren. Superman has a lot of options for how he wants to defeat Jiren, whether it’s through brute strength or some twisted combination of skills. It may be a close fight, but Superman’s defeated more difficult opponents.
4 Can Beat: The Green Arrow’s Fancy Artillery Won’t Even Dent Jiren

Oliver Queen’s Green Arrow is another strong example of a vigilante who turns himself into a hero and fights for a cause rather than special powers turning him into something special. Jiren and Oliver Queen would actually probably get along when it comes to their values and opinions on crime. Unfortunately, the Green Arrow has nothing that can even hurt Jiren. Jiren faces an avalanche of explosions and he’s still totally fine. Queen is resilient, but one full-strength punch from Jiren would shatter his skeleton.
3 Would Lose To: The Flash’s Speed Trumps Jiren’s Strength

Practically every big battle from Dragon Ball comes down to strength and who has greater power. This makes sense and it’s par for the course for a lot of anime, but it’s far from the only way to win a fight. The Flash is a great example of a character that’d be able to overwhelm and defeat Jiren before he even knows what’s happened due to the Speedster’s trademark power. Jiren himself is incredibly fast and operates at an Ultra instinct-like level of Zen that can transcend speed, but it pales in comparison to the strength of the Speed Force.
2 Can Beat: Aquaman Is Out Of His Depth Against Jiren

For many years Aquaman has been a target of criticism, but the tide has finally started to turn and the hero is viewed as more of a ruthless barbarian. Aquaman can creatively use the sea to his advantage and it’s safe to say that if he traps Jiren in a body of water then he’d win. However, Jiren’s talents allow him to easily avoid water and push the battle elsewhere. Jiren’s aura has practically destroyed planets, so it’s likely that such a demonstration would just clear out all of the water and leave Aquaman without his precious advantage.
1 Would Lose To: Spectre Operates On A Cosmic Level Beyond Jiren’s Comprehension

Jiren proves himself to be one of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power, but he still exhibits a degree of reverence towards the various Gods of Destruction and of course grand Zeno himself. As a point of comparison, DC’s Spectre is basically at the same power level of Zeno. Spectre has abilities that exceed Gods and he can manipulate reality and time as he sees fit. Jiren is strong, but Spectre could literally write him out of existence or turn him into someone at a Monaka-level skillset.
