Dragon Ball 5 Characters Cabba Can Defeat (& 5 He Cant)
Making his debut during the Universe 6 arc of Dragon Ball Super, Cabba quickly became a formidable fighter in the Dragon Ball universe.
There are many anime series that have become cultural touchstones that have transcended their original medium and Dragon Ball’s massive success for decades certainly qualifies. The Dragon Ball series has remained relevant with a steady release of content that revisits past triumphs and also continues to expand the series’ universe. Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power brings together the most powerful warriors from across multiple universes.
Goku and company previously aligned with Universe 6 and their powerful fighters, which includes Cabba, a Saiyan. Cabba is a fascinating character, and while he’s one of the strongest in Universe 6 there are still others out there that would pose a challenge.
10 Can Defeat: Master Roshi Is One Of Earth’s Greatest Martial Artists
Master Roshi is treated like a living legend back during the original Dragon Ball series and it’s safe to say that Goku wouldn’t have become the fighter that he is today without the guidance and tutelage of Master Roshi.
Master Roshi originates the series’ iconic Kamehameha attack and he remains relevant even up until Dragon Ball Super when he helps out in the Tournament of Power. Roshi can bulk up his body and knows decades’ worth of tricks, but it’s likely that the pure power of Cabba in his Super Saiyan 2 form would be able to take out Roshi.
9 Can’t Defeat: Gohan Is Set To Carry On Goku’s Heroic Legacy
Dragon Ball’s relationship with Gohan hasn’t always been the most consistent. He’s a character that was steadily positioned to become the series’ main character after Goku faded into the sunset, but despite his power boosts he’s become superfluous in many occasions.
Gohan’s skills get rusty after the end of Dragon Ball Z, but that doesn’t change that he’s still taken on Buu and received Old Kai’s Mystic Upgrade. Cabba learns a lot quickly, but he still lacks the power and experience that Gohan has cultivated over time.
8 Can Defeat: Krillin Is Proof That Humans Can Still Do A Lot Of Damage
Krillin enters Dragon Ball as a worthy equal to Goku and he remains alongside the Saiyan’s side throughout the Dragon Ball series. Krillin settles down a little in his later years, but Dragon Ball Super shows that he’s still powerful when he needs to be and he knows many strategic maneuvers— like his Destructo Disc or Solar Flare.
Krillin is easily one of Earth’s strongest humans, but that’s still not much in comparison to a Saiyan. Krillin might be able to get the upper hand on Cabba, but what’s more likely is that this Super Saiyan would overwhelm the human.
7 Can’t Defeat: Frieza Is One Of The Universe’s Most Malevolent Tyrants
There have been multiple major villains in Dragon Ball, but it’s Frieza that’s received the most attention and feels like the threat that’s made the biggest impact. Frieza built a notorious reputation for wiping out millions of lives and he continues to gain power, like with his Golden Frieza transformation.
Frieza holds a level of disdain towards Universe 6’s Saiyans, just like the ones from his own universe. Cabba’s Super Saiyan transformations are enough to take out most enemies, but Frieza is well-versed with them at this point and Cabba isn’t aggressive enough of a fighter to defeat him.
6 Can Defeat: Cell Is A Menace That’s Been Engineered To Perfection
Dragon Ball works hard to make sure that each new villain that it brings into the fray manages to be more powerful than what preceded it. Cell is extremely dangerous because of how he possesses the Z Warriors’ DNA and abilities in addition to extreme power.
At the time, Cell is a big deal, but a fresh Super Saiyan 2 can still defeat him. This means that Cabba at the same strength should also be able to defeat Cell. It might take some time for Cabba to find his rhythm, but he has the power to come out the victor.
5 Can’t Defeat: Vegeta Becomes A Mentor Of Sorts To Cabba
It’s very exciting when Universe 6 introduces three new Saiyans, but they’re largely ignorant to their people’s roots. Goku and Vegeta both educate Cabba, Kale, and Caulifla over what it means to be a Saiyan, as well as how to tap into Super Saiyan strength. Cabba grows to respect and revere Vegeta, who promises to train him further.
Despite the friendly relationship and how Vegeta might show some pity, there’s still no way that Cabba in Super Saiyan 2 form could get anywhere close to Vegeta’s Super Saiyan Blue skills. He could probably even beat him with his base form.
4 Can Defeat: Goten Is Still A Child With A Lot To Learn
The second half of Dragon Ball Z brings a new generation of heroes into the characters’ families with both Goten and Trunks. The two achieve Super Saiyan status earlier than anyone else, but due to their young age, Goten is largely sidelined throughout Dragon Ball Super and doesn’t get to improve his strength.
Cabba isn’t much older than Goten, but he’s already learned how to become Super Saiyan 2 and surpassed his limits. It’d be a highly compelling fight to watch these two young Saiyans fight against each other— or even work as a team— but Cabba is still superior.
3 Can’t Defeat: Jiren Is One Of The Tournament Of Power’s Deadliest Fighters
Dragon Ball Super creates many formidable fighters to take on Goku and the rest of Universe 7 during the Tournament of Power, but Universe 11’s Jiren is at the top of the class. Jiren is actually a hero from his universe, but he’s turned into the ultimate challenge for Goku.
Goku in his new Ultra Instinct form still struggles against Jiren and it’s still not enough even after he works together with Frieza. Goku and Frieza could easily defeat Cabba on their own, which means Jiren would absolutely annihilate him, especially with his lack of confidence in battle.
2 Can Defeat: Piccolo’s Namekian Skills Pale In Comparison To Saiyan Strength
Piccolo has experienced one of the most satisfying character arcs out of anyone in Dragon Ball. He has been a vital source of support throughout the series and periodically finds ways to boost his strength, but never gets to be the centerpiece in Dragon Ball Super.
He lasts a long time in the Tournament of Power, but it’s still not enough to defeat a Super Saiyan. Piccolo is arguably savvier in battle than Cabba, but Cabba improves more throughout the tournament and if he’s pushed into a corner he’d be able to show Piccolo what he can really do.
1 Can’t Defeat: The Magical Moro Has A Lengthy Vendetta Against The Universe
Dragon Ball Super’s anime has concluded, but the manga is still running strong and has extended the series’ story to very exciting places. Dragon Ball’s next big villain is Moro, an exceedingly dangerous individual who prides himself in his strong magic skills.
Moro is too much for everyone to handle and even after Goku masters Ultra Instinct -Sign- he still needs to get help from others like Merus and Uub. Cabba doesn’t get to fight against Moro, but it’s for the best since he would easily absorb his power and use it against the heroes.
