Dragon Ball 5 Characters That Can Defeat Broly (& 5 That Cant)

Broly is one of Dragon Ball's most powerful warriors. But who can defeat the legendary super saiyan and who wouldn't stand a chance?

Broly is a Saiyan from Universe 7 in Dragon Ball and one of the most powerful ones to have ever existed. Born on Planet Vegeta, Broly was exiled due to having too much power right from birth. He has spent most of his life on Planet Vampa and grew stronger there.

As seen in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he possesses tremendous power that knows no bounds. His skill of growing throughout battle is incredible and that's why he's one of the most fearsome fighters in the series.

10 Can Defeat: Gogeta

Gogeta is one of the strongest characters in Dragon Ball, created by the fusion of Goku and Vegeta. Being a Metamoran fusion, it goes without saying that Gogeta is far more capable than both of them.

In the Broly movie, Gogeta fought against Broly and it was evident that there was a massive power difference between the two. Broly, while strong, was absolutely no match for Gogeta Blue.

9 Can't Defeat: Goku

Goku is a Saiyan from Universe 7 who possesses tremendous fighting ability. There doesn't seem to be any limit to how strong Goku can grow. During the Tournament of Power, Goku managed to gain the powers of Ultra Instinct, and during the Moro arc, he learned how to use the Ultra Instinct Sign at will.

Strong as he is, Goku's chances of defeating Broly are still very low. Fans think Broly is superior to him in terms of combat.

8 Can Defeat: Vegeto

Like Gogeta, Vegeto is another fusion of Goku and Vegeta, however, this one makes use of the Potara earrings. Vegeto is just as strong as Gogeta, if not stronger. He was able to fight and overwhelm Fused Zamasu in battle, which just goes to how powerful he is.

Since Gogeta was able to deal with Broly without much trouble, it can be easily assumed that the same would the case for Vegeto as well.

7 Can't Defeat: Vegeta

Vegeta is the Prince of the Saiyans in Universe 7 and one of the strongest characters in the series. He is strong enough to take on Goku in a fight, although the latter appears to be slightly stronger than him.

Vegeta was able to put up a decent fight against Jiren during the Tournament of Power and he even defeated Toppo, a God of Destruction candidate. Unfortunately, Vegeta's level is defined below that of Broly and no matter how strong he is right now, he will end up getting crushed.

6 Can Defeat: Beerus

Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7 who wields mind-blowing powers. He was able to defeat Goku in his Super Saiyan God form without even using his real powers, which shows how frightening he really is.

Although Broly is thought to be stronger than Beerus, it can't be denied that Beerus has powers, such as Hakai, up his sleeve which give him the edge over pretty much anyone, including Broly.

5 Can't Defeat: Hit

Universe 6's best assassin, Hit is a powerful fighter who has fought against the likes of Goku and Vegeta on multiple occasions now. Just like them, he is capable of growing strong as the battle progresses. Hit's ability allows him to skip time and kill his enemies easily.

However, the chances of this technique working on Broly are quite low. Previously, Goku and Jiren have proved to break through this ability and there's no reason to doubt that Broly can't do the same.

4 Can Defeat: Jiren

One of the members of the Pride Troopers, Jiren hails from Universe 11 and he made himself known as one of the strongest in the series during the Tournament of Power. His strength surpassed that of even the Gods of Destruction and he could also match Goku's Ultra Instinct in a fight.

Since then, Jiren is likely to have grown stronger. Broly, while strong, won't be able to hold his own against such a monster.

3 Can't Defeat: Toppo

Toppo is also a member of the Pride Troopers, just like Jiren. He is powerful enough to get recommended for the God of Destruction position, which means he is a worthy opponent for Broly.

Toppo was, however, inferior to Goku and Vegeta during the Tournament of Power. Broly appears to be several times stronger than him and for now, it is impossible for Toppo to beat him.

2 Can Defeat: Whis

Whis is an Angel who serves as the attendant of Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. He is known to be even stronger than Beerus and his skills know no bounds.

Whis demonstrated his ability by fighting and defeating both Goku and Vegeta in the past. His use of Ultra Instinct is just one of his strongest abilities. For him, defeating Broly in a fight shouldn't be much trouble at all.

Krillin is a human from Earth and one of the characters who fight to protect the planet from all incoming threat. As a human, Krillin is known to be exceptionally powerful.

However, when compared to someone like Broly, Krillin stands absolutely no chance. For Broly, defeating Krillin should be a piece of cake.
