Dragon Ball 5 Anime Heroes Trunks Could Beat (& 5 Hed Lose To)

With willpower to change the future, Trunks could undoubtedly put up a fight against anime's toughest heroes.

The son of Vegeta and Bulma, Trunks was destined for greatness from birth. Regardless of the timeline, Trunks is known for his battle prowess and intellect. The training he received from his father and the future version of Gohan allowed him to face some of Dragon Ball's most prominent foes, including Freiza, Androids 18 & 17, and Cell.

With willpower to change the future, Trunks could undoubtedly put up a fight against anime's toughest heroes. Were he to face them, what would be the outcome?

10 Could Beat: Genkai (Yu Yu Hakusho)

As the master of the Spirit Wave, Genkai can essentially turn her entire body into a living weapon. Through her years of experience, she perfected several powerful techniques that were easily capable of outclassing lesser opponents. Thanks to her quick thinking, she was also able to defeat numerous opponents even while in her weakened state. But even in her prime, Trunks would be able to beat her.

Because of his more extensive energy reserves, he would not tire as quickly and could perform his techniques more often.

9 Would Lose To: Koku (B: The Beginning)

Nicknamed "The Black-Winged King," Koku was born from the genetic template of a progenitor god. He possesses the ability to alter the memories of others and can absorb parts of other individuals to gain their powers. His signature weapon is a blue steel blade, which morphs out of his left arm. The blade is capable of shattering almost every weapon made of lesser material and would render Trunks' sword useless.

Koku also maintains a highly regenerative factor, allowing him to heal himself almost instantaneously. As a result, he would be able to withstand the majority of Trunks' attacks and go in for the kill.

8 Could Beat: Roy Mustang (Fullmetal Alchemist)

As an Alchemist, Roy can control the very state of matter, something that Trunks has seldom encountered. Primarily, he is known for his Flame Alchemy, which he uses by manipulating the density of oxygen around his intended target. It does, however, have its limitations. Roy mainly relies on his transmutation gloves to act as the conduits for his Alchemy, and without them, he's relatively powerless.

Though he has been known to create transmutation circles on his own body, Trunks would most likely not let him give the chance.

7 Would Lose To: Sailor Uranus (Sailor Moon)

Though she often doesn't fight without her lover, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Uranus is more than capable of holding her own. As the strongest Sailor Senshi physically, she would be more than a match for Trunks. Wielding her Space Sword Blaster, she could duel Trunks for a time before going on the aggressive using her sword's energy projectiles.

In her highest form, she was able to levitate and harness the power of solar winds, which would melt Trunks on the spot.

6 Could Beat: Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia)

Bakugo has proved himself to be one of his class's strongest students thanks to his enhanced strength and Quirk. He is able to utilize explosions for a variety of purposes, including flight and concussive blasts. His downfall, however, would be his overconfidence. Trunks would simply need to exploit Bakugo's temper to get the better of him.

Trunks is also quite durable given his experiences and training, and could easily tank the majority of Bakugo's attacks.

5 Lose To: Genos (One-Punch Man)

While Trunks is no stranger to fighting cyborgs and androids, Genos is unlike any the Saiyan's faced in the past. Most notably, Genos is able to directly use his power core in battle, giving his blasts a huge boost. Genos would be able to keep up with Trunks every step of the fight and would outspeed him if the Saiyan were to go into his most powerful form.

Furthermore, Genos could outlast Trunks' stamina thanks to the cyborg's self-generating power core.

4 Could Beat: Kakashi Hatake (Naruto)

As a mentor to Naturo, Sasuke, and Sakura, Kakashi possesses a vast knowledge of fighting techniques and battle tactics. He is also extremely agile, capable of avoiding damage through the use of clones, the body replacement technique, and sheer speed.

Though he may be able to confuse Trunks through his fast movements, the Half-Saiyan would utilize his energy to create a big enough blast around him to ensure he would hit Kakashi.

3 Would Lose To: Popuko & Pipimi (Pop Team Epic)

Though fighting two on one is something Trunks is quite used to, nothing would be able to prepare him for Popuko & Pipimi's combined might. The two appear to be omnipotent and have demonstrated the ability to shift reality to their whims. Popuko's rage alone would keep Trunks on the defensive. Were he to go into his highest form, he might be able to even out the fight with Popuko.

Still, he'd be no match against both of them.

2 Could Beat: Violet Evergarden (Violet Evergarden)

Similar to Trunks, Violet was powerful from a young age, being a former child soldier. She was capable of fighting multiple opponents at once and displayed an immense amount of strength through wielding heavy weaponry. Additionally, she appears to have superhuman durability, capable of taking multiple hits from swords, bullets, and blunt weapons with little to no reaction.

At first, the two would be fairly even during a fight, matching each other blow for blow. However, Trunks is used to fighting intergalactic threats and super humanoids on the regular, while Violet has only ever faced other humans. Trunks' experiences and Saiyan biology would ultimately win him the fight.

1 Would Lose To: Tohru (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid)

As a full-grown dragon, Tohru has an array of abilities at her disposal. She would easily keep up with Trunks in a fight, and what sheer strength wouldn't accomplish, her additional powers would. Using her ability of Perception Blocking, Trunks would essentially be fighting thin air. Like all dragons, she's also able to breathe fire and can change the intensity of the flame to make it instantly incinerate.

Additionally, she is powerful enough to open portals to other dimensions, and would most likely send Trunks back to his own universe after a thorough thrashing.
