Master Roshi is one of the strongest humans in the Dragon Ball universe. He may be incredibly old, but don't be fooled. He boasts impressive strength and intelligence. His muscles can grow more than twice their usual size, and he can adapt to any situation in battle with incredible speed. Master Roshi also has a mastery of martial arts.

In Goku's first tournament, Goku was able to soundly defeat all of his opponents except for Master Roshi, who had to destroy the moon to win. Master Roshi has many arsenal abilities, such as the Kamehameha, the Drunken Fist, and the Afterimage Technique. However, which anime characters can he beatーand which would defeat him?

10 Would Win Against Marcus Damon

Marcus is a character who appears in Digimon Data Squad and one of the most powerful human characters in the entire franchise. He isn't afraid to punch a Digimon no matter how strong it is, and he even dishes out enough damage to send Digimon five times his size backward. This earned him respect from his partner Digimon, Agumon.

However, Master Roshi has taken punches from other experienced human fighters and didn't even flinch. Even if Marcus landed a few punches on him, Master Roshi has incredible durability and techniques that Marcus doesn't.

Being a demon, Sesshomaru both powerful and durable. In Inuyasha, he can heal quickly and can defend himself by using the fur on his shoulder. Offensively, his claws are frightening. They can release a poison strong enough to melt his enemies, as well as objects like rocks.

When he is in his giant canine form, this poison can be released from his mouth as a gas. Although Master Roshi is powerful, he is still powerful. This kind of poison would be lethal to him.

In the first Pokémon movie, Mewtwo was considered to be the strongest Pokémon in the world. A hyper beam didn't faze him, and he is capable of creating a field around himself that can make physical attacks bounce off of it harmlessly.

However, a hyper beam is not nearly as strong as a Kamehameha, which is more likely to penetrate the force field. Mewtwo's shadow ball, which he's seen using the most in the movie, is also not fast enough to catch Master Roshi.

Senku is a character in Dr. Stone who would be able to outwit Master Roshi. His ability to plan and create things from scratch makes him a character that shouldn't be messed with.

Senku has also proven that he is willing to use whatever underhanded methods to get what he wants. For example, he is not above bribing the villagers with food. Master Roshi is a pretty simple man when it comes to what he wants, as he even refused to train Goku and Krillin until they brought back a pretty lady.

4 Would Win Against Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko is a character in Demon Slayer. She has no combat training, so when she fights someone, she relies on her brute strength. This makes her fighting style seem more animalistic. Someone who relies only on how powerful they are wouldn't be able to beat someone like Master Roshi, who is not only stronger than her but utilizes his intellect to outwit his opponents.

Even though she has rapid regeneration, someone like Master Roshi would be able to outlast her since that ability uses a large portion of her energy.

3 Would Lose Against Subaru Natsuki

In Re: Zero, Subaru's ability to Return By Death essentially gives him a way to learn about his opponents. He can, in a sense, "plan." This gives Subaru a million chances to try again, which also increased his intelligence and his reaction time.

It may take him many tries, but Subaru would manage to obtain victory at some point. There is a possibility that he would win if he were to reveal this ability since sometimes disclosing this information costs the listener their life.

2 Would Win Against Bakugo Katsuki

Bakugo can create explosions from his hands at will in My Hero Academia. However, his blasts are not nearly as powerful as Master Roshi's Kamehameha. Like Master Roshi, Bakugo has the ability to assess his opponent's abilities and weaknesses.

However, Master Roshi has many more years of experience under his belt. Bakugo is also rather hotheaded, which is something that Master Roshi would gladly use against him. Master Roshi is quite skilled at irritating his opponent during a battle, as he would probably utilize his Rock, Scissors 'N' Paper technique, which is a fancy way of poking his opponent right in the eyes.

A fight against Erza from Fairy Tail would result in a defeat that Master Roshi would embrace with open arms. Erza's Requip magic allows her to change into whatever armor is most fitting for the occasion, and some of these armors would definitely catch Master Roshi's attention for all the wrong reasons.

He would probably do whatever he could to drag out the battle to see as many of her armors as possible but would pay for his perversion thanks to Erza's superhuman speed and strength.
