Dragon Ball has faithfully indulged in and subverted shonen archetypes for more than three decades, and it’s made a major mark on not just anime and manga, but also video games. There is a wide range of Dragon Ball video games that exist and the newest in the series, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, an asymmetrical raid-style action title, is set to do some unique things with the franchise.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers has already announced Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu as the Raiders that will wreak havoc down on the unsuspecting civilians. However, Dragon Ball has featured many foes with a penchant for mass destruction that would make for perfect Raider characters.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers features Cell as its major villain representation from the series’ Android invasion. Cell certainly clashes with the public, but Dr. Gero’s Androids, specifically 17 and 18, cause massive collateral damage. Androids 17 and 18 successfully ravage Future Trunks’ fractured timeline and take out most of the population. However, even in the prime timeline, they have a tendency to fight in public places, like Android 18 and Vegeta’s clash on a busy highway. There’s just something extra intimidating about facing this mechanical duo and the apocalyptic mission they're on.

9 Demon King Piccolo’s Minions Assert The Demon’s Dominance

The original Dragon Ball begins with a more grounded series of antagonists that young Goku and company must face. However, the series culminates with the ascension of Demon King Piccolo, who successfully terrorizes the free world and gains power. Goku Black, who is in fact Zamasu, returns Dragon Ball to Future Trunks’ broken timeline. Goku Black launches a full assault on the Resistance of humans that have survived, and he’s the perfect oppressive force to fill the role of a Raider. There’s an additional novelty in the fact that he looks just like Goku.

5 Any Great Ape Is Prone To Ravage Without Discretion

The emergence of Super Saiyans quickly replaced the species’ need for tails and the corresponding Great Ape transformations that used to be the apex of their power. The whole point of Great Apes is that they facilitate the Saiyan people’s ability to destroy and take over the planets that they invade.

Great Apes are always used for wanton destruction whenever they show up in the series. Not only would a Great Ape Raider be appropriate in Dragon Ball: The Breakers, but it could reflect a different style of danger due to its larger size, almost like it’s a giant kaiju attack.

4 Beerus Is A God Of Destruction With Minimal Patience

God of Destruction, Lord Beerus, is one of the most powerful figures in the Dragon Ball universe, and he nearly destroys the Earth during his mission to square off against a Super Saiyan God. Admittedly, Beerus is not the type to cause random and reckless destruction in the middle of a city due to the revered role that he serves. Beerus has a very volatile temper, and it’s easy to set him off, so there are still circumstances that could make him rampage in a crowded area and assert his dominance over humanity.

3 Majin Vegeta’s Return To Villainy Causes Civilian Casualties

The friendly rivalry between Goku and Vegeta that fuels both of them to grow stronger and surpass their limits remains one of the most satisfying elements of Dragon Ball. Vegeta has experienced moments of weakness through the years and stooped to questionable methods to become more powerful. Babidi’s possession of Vegeta that turns him into Majin Vegeta is a truly tense turn of events. Vegeta doesn’t just return to his evil ways, he demonstrates how much he’s changed by killing random spectators. A Majin Vegeta who is let loose on the public and with something to prove is a devastating prospect.

2 Garlic Jr.’s Black Water Mist Makes The Population Compliant

Garlic Jr. is an odd addition to the Dragon Ball series since he’s the primary villain from Dragon Ball Z’s first movie, The Dead Zone, but also returns for revenge during his own filler saga. Garlic Jr. doesn’t initially look like much, but his Spice Boy bodyguards pack a serious punch, as does Garlic Jr.’s own bulked-up transformation. However, it’s Garlic Jr.’s Black Water Mist that makes him prime Raider material. Garlic Jr. has the means to infect the public and build a ravenous army.

1 Broly Is A Blunt Weapon Of Destruction

Dragon Ball has experimented with the Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly, in several different contexts before finally figuring out what should be done with the powerful character in Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Broly isn’t exactly the type to just start tearing down buildings and eliminating the public, but he’s frequently manipulated into being an oblivious tool of destruction. In this sense, Paragus could influence Broly to take out Earth’s humans and make the planet fit for their desires. There’s also just a certain appeal about a bulked-up Super Saiyan terrorizing a city in peril.
