Dragon Ball 10 Times The World Shouldve Ended But Didnt
If Goku hadn't landed on Earth all those years ago it would've ended ten times over. Then again, most of those were because of him in the first place.

Out of all the anime worlds that anyone could choose to live in it seems like Dragon Ball's universe would be at the bottom of the list. Why? Well, despite the cool technology, the flying, and the ability to learn crazy techniques and fighting styles there is a whole lot of dying involved.
Everyone knows that the Earth in this series has come a bit to close to being destroyed too many times in this series and has even bit the dust fully. This list will be looking at the times that things got a little too close for comfort on planet Earth in this shonen marvel.
9 WHEN FRIEZA CAME TO EARTH

Frieza coming to Earth was literally game over for everyone on the planet in the series. Before Goku and Trunks got there there was absolutely no hope for anyone to be able to stop him and his father from ending it all.
However, Goku and Trunks (depending on the timeline) got to the planet just in time to save the day. Without them the Earth was just about 100% doomed, spelling an early end for everyone including Cell.
8 DURING THE TOURNAMENT OF POWER

It's hard to even count the number of close calls that spelled doom for Earth during Dragon Ball Super's most popular arc. This time around the series's heroes were in over their heads and had to use everything to save the planet.
Jiren was absolutely unstoppable and still is for many on the planet. Thankfully though the power of well-timed power-ups and teamwork he was defeated and Earth was saved from hanging on a string once again.
7 WHEN ZAMASU ALMOST WIPED EVERYTHING OUT

While Zamasu's plan wasn't simply to destroy the Earth but all of reality it definitely still involved wiping out the Earth. This was a plan that was even above Goku and Vegeta's heads which meant that it'd be a lot harder than they thought due to Zamasu and his constant time travel shenanigans.
Thankfully, when things were still looking a bit grim Beerus stepped in and quickly ended things and saved the Earth in the process.
6 DURING BEERUS'S VISIT

While Beerus has saved Earth once he also had a hand in almost destroying it. During he and Goku's big first battle Beerus actually grew bored, flew up into space, and fired a giant ball of energy at the blue planet.
Being the God of Destruction, it's easy to tell that that ball hitting the planet would have been game over. Goku mustered all the strength he had and stopped this oncoming threat, saving Earth from the largest threat since Kid Buu and his Vanishing Ball.
5 AFTER FRIEZA'S RETURN

Frieza actually succeeded in destroying the Earth this time around. With the help of a good distraction for Vegeta, he managed to completely obliterate the planet.
However, thanks to Whis this obliteration never happened and simply came close. Time was reversed which means that Frieza only came close to destroying the planet before being stopped by Goku.
4 VEGETA'S GALICK GUN

Vegeta had the honor of being the first character to truly threaten to destroy the entire planet with a giant ki blast. Everyone remembers the epic moment where he flew up into the sky and told Goku that he was going to turn the planet into space dust.
With no way to run without having the planet destroyed Goku took everything in him and fired a Kamehameha and saved the planet from a quick end.
3 RADITZ'S ARRIVAL

Many forget that Raditz's plan had him travel to Earth, find Goku, and then destroy the planet. Besides the Goku part, this was basically the blueprint of every Saiyan's mission when under the reign of Frieza.
He actually would have succeeded if Piccolo and Goku couldn't work together. Thankfully, these two bitter enemies put everything aside and saved the planet.
2 CELL'S FEARFUL KAMEHAMEHA

After Cell put himself in a bad position by letting Gohan become a Super Saiyan 2 he ended up fearing for his life and resorted to destroying him and the entire planet with a Kamehameha aimed straight at the planet.
This didn't phase Gohan at all, as he fired an even stronger beam that completely engulfed Cell's ultra-powerful beam.
1 CELL'S SELF-DESTRUCT

Another act of fear and pride from Cell came in the form of his big plan to self-destruct and take the entire planet Earth with him in the explosion.
Before he could even blow up Goku made the ultimate sacrifice and teleported him to King Kai's planet. Better that small planet than the entire Earth right?

Cell's big rule during the Cell Games was that if he were to win that he would destroy the planet. This means that if he killed Gohan with that final Solar Kamehameha the Earth was finished.
Gohan, with a little help from his father, beat Cell in one more beam struggle and killed Cell.
