Dragon Ball 10 Times Vegeta Proved He Loved Bulma
There are many memorable anime romances, but one of the most shocking is the union between Dragon Ball Z’s Vegeta and Bulma.

Dragon Ball has always been a popular anime series, but it’s remarkable how Akira Toriyama’s action franchise has managed to evolve and remain relevant for multiple decades and increase the size of its impressive audience. Dragon Ball caters to thrilling action sequences, but it’s also full of important character dynamics and relationships.
There are many memorable anime romances, but one of the most shocking is the union between Dragon Ball Z’s Vegeta and Bulma. It initially hits as a true shock that the aggressive Saiyan Prince would be interested in someone like Bulma, but over time he repeatedly proves just how much she means to him.
10 He Attacks Beerus To Defend Her Honor

What’s easily one of the biggest and most celebrated moments of Vegeta and Bulma’s relationship is triggered by Beerus’ arrival on Earth during the start of Dragon Ball Super. God of Destruction Beerus is radically stronger than any previous opponents.
However, this discouraging reality doesn’t hold back Vegeta from giving Beerus a piece of his mind after he insults Bulma. Vegeta’s ensuing “That’s my Bulma!” moment perfectly demonstrates that he’ll do anything to defend his wife and will selflessly throw his life into harm’s way.
9 He Knows How To Compartmentalize Training

It’s not easy to balance family life with the type of rigorous training schedule that Vegeta depends on. It’s this very issue that’s caused conflict between Goku and Chi-Chi since his time training always comes at the expense of her and their family.
Vegeta arguably values training even more than Goku, but he finds a way to make it work without it coming at the cost of his personal life. Vegeta really embraces training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, which lets him maximize his time there rather than wasting more time in the regular world.
8 They Have Children

This may seem perfunctory, but if Vegeta weren’t so committed to Bulma and their future together then he would have been less interested in not just having one child with her, but another and really building a family together with her. Additionally, Vegeta and Bulma’s children don’t just become an afterthought to the Saiyan.
One of the more touching moments in Dragon Ball Super involves Vegeta refusing to participate in the Tournament of Power because Bulma hasn’t given birth to Bra yet and he won’t leave his wife’s side until she’s given birth. It’s the opposite of Goku’s attitude.
7 His Final Moments As Majin Vegeta — Vegeta doesn’t forget about Bulma’s wellbeing even during these moments of possession

Dragon Ball Z’s Buu Saga attempts to recapture some of the magic from the anime’s Saiyan Saga when it temporarily turns Vegeta evil. It’s a frightening development when Vegeta returns to this dark place, but before he commits the ultimate sacrifice he relies on the comfort of his family to find peace.
Vegeta knows that he’s about to take himself out and before he does so he makes sure that Trunks isn’t there to witness the act and that Bulma is also properly prepared for his end. Vegeta doesn’t forget about Bulma’s wellbeing even during these moments of possession.
6 He Doesn’t Disrupt Her Work At Capsule Corp

Any good relationship has the two partners function both as a team, but also as independent entities. Vegeta and Bulma can be wildly different, yet they both understand and respect each other’s interests. Vegeta’s priorities involve training, but he doesn’t use this as an excuse to derail Bulma’s passions or make her change her life to revolve around combat.
Vegeta doesn’t disturb Bulma’s fascination with science and technology, but he also doesn’t protest when she patches him up during his gravity training for the Androids. It reflects such an even balance between them, unlike how Goku has disrupted Chi-Chi’s interests.
5 He Takes The Family Out On Vacation

The beginning of Dragon Ball Super helps introduce some powerful new characters and ideas, such as Beerus and the Super Saiyan God transformation. However, Dragon Ball Super’s start also has some filler-based downtime that shows the characters during more playful moments of rest.
A rather entertaining example of this is when Vegeta takes Bulma and Trunks on a mini-vacation that includes an amusement park, delicious cuisine, and unexpected surprises. Bulma and Trunks love the experience, but Vegeta seems embarrassed and bored the entire time. Despite how none of this is quite Vegeta’s tempo he still participates to make Bulma happy.
4 Even When He’s Evil He Keeps His Family Together Through Infection

Dragon Ball GT is a controversial chapter in the franchise’s history. It gets its share of criticism, but there’s still a lot of appreciation for the villain, Baby. Baby searches for the right host, which leads to him taking over Vegeta’s body. Baby Vegeta expands his rule and possesses most of Earth’s population.
During this possession, Baby Vegeta values the brainwashed versions of Bulma and Bra and keeps them by his side instead of completely eliminating them. Baby Vegeta isn’t as understanding to others, so it’s important that even in this impaired state he wants his wife by his side.
3 The Mentor Role He Takes With Future Trunks

One of the more exciting developments to take place in Dragon Ball Super is the return of fan-favorite character, Future Trunks. Future Trunks plays a crucial role in the battle against Goku Black and Zamasu, but his presence also allows Vegeta another opportunity to bond with this alternate and older version of his son.
Vegeta doesn’t waste this chance and he tries to train and help Future Trunks learn a lot during his time in the “past.” Bulma also appreciates the attention that Vegeta shows Future Trunks and how her husband is focused on helping him find inner peace.
2 He’ll Take His Daughter Out Shopping

One of the more interesting aspects of Dragon Ball GT is in how it treats characters after a time skip. Vegeta has gone through some unexpected style changes in this time, but he’s also shown with his now-teenage daughter, Bra. This is the first time that Vegeta’s relationship with his grown daughter gets to be explored.
Vegeta appears to take Bra out shopping and handle simple errands with her rather than it being something that he insists that she does with her mother. It shows that Vegeta is willing to give Bulma time to herself and equally share parenting duties.
1 He Contemplates What's Important To Him During The Tournament Of Power

Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power tests Universe 7 against the multiverse’s most dangerous fighters. Vegeta does great work for Universe 7, but he grows increasingly desperate. Vegeta prepares to execute a dramatic coup that will release all of his energy in a deadly explosion. This doesn’t cost Vegeta his life, but he believes that it will.
Before he goes through with this he warmly thinks about Bulma, his kids, and Universe 6’s Saiyans, like Cabba. It’s proof that Bulma is among the most important things to him and what he wants to reflect on before he goes.
