Dragon Ball 10 Times Krillin Was A Jerk

Dragon Ball's Krillin might seem like a good guy, but he has his bad days. To demonstrate, here are ten times he was a total jerk.

Krillin is a character that has been through a lot in the world of Dragon Ball Z. He's been to heaven and back after doing his best to protect the Earth as a Z-Warrior more than most. No matter the threat he steps up and tries to run with the best of them.

But amongst all the things Krillin has done in the Dragon Ball universe, there's a lot you may not know about him. No, we're not talking about the fact that he's the strongest human in the series, but the fact that he can be a real jerk. In fact, there are so many times this has happened we've been able to compile a list of his top 10 jerk moments.

10 BEING A JERK TO VEGETA

Krillin and Vegeta haven't had the best of histories by any means. Would you be able to be buddy-buddy with the guy that came to earth and had your best friends brutally murdered right before your eyes? Even with that being the case Krillin really had no reason to be such a jerk to Vegeta in this instance.

The moment in question is right after Cell snipes Trunks, killing him right in front of his father. After that Vegeta goes into a blind rage and almost got himself killed if not for Gohan's sacrifice. Krillin really got annoyed by that for some reason and starts being rude to Vegeta.

9 BRIBES MASTER ROSHI

Before Krillin was the hero we know today he was nothing but a full-time jerk. In his first appearance, he pulls up to Master Roshi's island on a boat ready to beg for training. Of course, Goku had to really prove himself to become Master Roshi's student but what does Krillin do? Well he bribes him! What else would he do?

Yup, right in front of Goku he bribes the Turtle Hermit with perverted magazines. Luckily Goku is so dumb he doesn't even understand what was going on right in front of him!

8 WHEN HE DECIDED TO LEARN MARTIAL ARTS

We're sure you've heard it all. There are tons of reasons various martial artists decided to study the arts in different anime. Defending the world, defending themselves, defending the ones they love, it goes on forever. Krillin decided to learn the arts of the Turtle Hermit for something a bit different that's actually pretty jerkish in hindsight.

The guy decides to dedicate himself to the arts to get popular with the women. Maybe that's why karma bit him in the butt through all his endeavors with women. Well in the filler with girls like Maron at least.

7 BREAKING UP WITH MARON

Yeah we know Maron is a filler character but it's still an instance of Krillin being a jerk so it's going to have to be included this time. During this short relationship arc, we find that Krillin is dating Bulma's bombshell sister Maron. The girl is the center of attention due to how seemingly perfect she is despite being a ditz. Krillin thinks he's head over heels over this girl and decides to propose to her.

Instead of doing this, due to his insecurities, Krillin just breaks up with her thinking he's not good enough, even though it's revealed right after she was going to say yes. This is one instance where Krillin is more of a jerk to himself than anyone.

6 CAUSING A TSUNAMI

After his random break up with Maron, Krillin takes to training more than ever. He decides that this is the way he wants to get his mind off things by perfecting his Kamehameha attack and does this while on Master Roshi's island. It's the perfect place to train because it's in the middle of nowhere right?

Wrong. While practicing this iconic technique Krillin mistakingly causes a tsunami with his beam of energy. Luckily they're in the middle of nowhere so supposedly no one was hurt, but imagine if that tsunami actually caught some innocents in the crossfire. Seriously Krillin, think!

5 WATCHING HIS FRIENDS GET BEAT BY THE ANDROIDS

He may have not been a match for the beings of endless energy but everyone else jumped in! Why couldn't he? During the Z-Warriors first bout with Androids 16, 17, and 18, they were utterly decimated so does that make it fair for Krillin to stand back like a coward while watching the show?

We will give Krillin credit when credit is due but this definitely isn't one of those times. He sprung into action vs the Ginyu Force, the Saiyans, Frieza, and more. What was going through his head this time if he's made it through all that?

4 THROWS A ROCK AT GOKU

This might just be Krillin's most well-known jerk moment. If you don't remember it it's because it happened during one of the greatest filler arcs of all anime, the Pre-Cell Games. During this arc, all the Z-Fighters are trying to get in as much rest and relaxation they can before the big battle for the planet against Cell. In one scene we see Goku and Gohan deciding to chill by laying in the grass.

Krillin has the bright idea to throw a rock at Goku's head to test his reflexes and royally ticks a sleeping Goku off when it lands. What kind of joke is that?

3 PROTECTING ANDROID 18

It may have worked out in the end but if it wasn't the biggest stroke of luck for Krillin then what is? During the battle against Cell Krillin could have ensured an early victory by taking away Cell's ability to transform into his perfect form. Instead of doing that and keeping the planet safe, driven by a crush on a girl that might not even like him, Krillin destroys the android destructive switch.

So if you think about it we can't even blame Vegeta for letting Cell transform and almost destroy the planet. We can blame Krillin though.

2 HIS WISH WITH THE DRAGON BALLS

After the dust settles at the end of the Cell Games and the world embraces peace once more Krillin has one more moment of being a jerk, this time to an entire planet. Once again we're pretty sure Krillin is one of the luckiest men on the planet when it came to getting 18 because this could have lead to nothing.

Instead of wishing for something to benefit the population or keeping the dragon balls for future problems, Krillin decides to wish the androids internal explosives be removed. At that point we weren't even sure the androids would come back good, so what if they were just as bloodthirsty? What then Krillin?

1 NAMING HIS DAUGHTER MARON

Does that name sound familiar to you? Well, it should because she was just mentioned earlier in the list. Maron is the name of Krillin's ex-girlfriend. While she is a filler-only character from the anime, in the anime he's still a jerk for naming his daughter after her.

This has got to be the biggest instance of being a jerk in Krillin's portfolio. Imagine if Android 18 found out his reasoning for naming his daughter Maron. How do you think she would react? Well with the temper on her we don't even want to imagine it.
