Dragon Ball 10 Things Fans Need To Know About Gogeta & Vegito
Dragon Ball's two premiere fusions have always been Gogeta and Vegito, but fans still don't know much about them. Here's a closer look at the two.

Dragon Ball has given fans some incredible moments to cherish, none more so when the characters, especially Saiyans, attempt new transformations, and something entirely unpredictable happens due to it. Over the years, fans have loved to see their beloved characters attempt the Fusion technique, giving rise to some entirely new characters and greater powers.
While Gotenks (fusion of Goten and Trunks) is undoubtedly the most entertaining character born out of the technique, Goku and Vegeta's fusion (Gogeta or Vegito) is looked forward to the most. Gogeta and Vegito have some very basic differences between them and there are some things fans don't know about both of them.
8 One Is Potara, The Other Is Fusion Dance

There are two distinct fusion techniques that are used by the Dragon Ball fighters and while one involves a rather funny dance sequence, the other requires two round rings from Kais. The Fusion Dance technique needs to be perfect in order to be executed and if Goku and Vegeta perform it, Gogeta is born out of it. But, if Goku and Vegeta use the Potara earrings for fusion, the result is Vegito. And don't get it twisted, both the characters are very different.
7 Vegito's Power Level Is Higher

If Goku and Vegeta's two different fusions result in two entirely different beings, then it begs the question of whether their power levels have any difference? The answer is yes, it's quite simple. The Potara Fusion is considered to be the purer technique while attempting to join two bodies and as a result, Vegito can be considered stronger than Gogeta because the latter comes into existence due to the Fusion Dance.
6 Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta

During Dragon Ball GT, when Goku and Vegeta couldn't beat Omega Shenron together, they decided to try out the fusion. They were in their Super Saiyan 4 states at the time and as soon as they fused, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta came into existence. To date, this is one of Gogeta's strongest ever transformations and it produced a power level so immense that Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta almost toyed with Omega Shenron when Goku and Vegeta individually couldn't do anything.
5 Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta Vs Legendary Super Saiyan Broly

In the Dragon Ball Super movie featuring Broly, Goku and Vegeta found it difficult to hurt Broly after he turned into Super Saiyan meaning they had to try the fusion technique again. This time, it was a transformation that saw Gogeta turn into Super Saiyan Blue and trigger Broly's Legendary Super Saiyan transformation. As the battle continued, Gogeta's power kept on increasing to the point where he was all but ready to kill Broly if not for the last-minute disappearance of the demonic Saiyan.
4 Vegito Turned Into Candy

One of the most interesting and entertaining things that happened during the Majin Buu in Dragon Ball Z was when Buu absorbed Gohan to become Buuhan, which to date is considered to be his strongest form.
This was the first time Goku and Vegeta used the Potara earrings for fusion and out came Vegito who pummeled Buuhan around with ease. In the end, Buuhan had to turn Vegito into a candy only to realize that Vegito is so strong that he can even control the candy while maintaining his power level.
3 The Stardust Breaker

The Stardust Breaker is one of the best-looking attacks in Gogeta's armory. The outburst of energy in different colors is absolutely magnificent to watch and not only that, it is a really strong move that comes close second to the Big Bang Kamehameha. It is an energy sphere made up of the colors of a rainbow and the move itself takes place in two stages. First, Gogeta crushes this colorful ball of energy and scatters it towards his enemy before creating the same circular ball again to throw it at the opponent.
2 Vegito Vs Merged Zamasu

One of the darkest Dragon Ball storylines ever, the Goku Black arc left a lasting impression on fans. Merged Zamasu became the most intimidating villain of Dragon Ball Super and while he was in that state, he faced off against Goku and Vegeta's very own Potara fusion, Vegito. In fact, this was one of the very first times that Vegito seemed to struggle against an enemy as Merged Zamasu proved to be too much to handle for him even in his Super Saiyan Blue state.
1 The Spirit Sword

The Spirit Sword is an attack Vegito saves for the very right moment because if it is used the right way, it has the capability to not only stun the opponent but also considerably damage them. Vegito, in his right hand, summons a condensed form of energy and converts it into a sword-like structure. This structure's size can be controlled by Vegito showing the Ki control he has at his disposal. Vegito has used it almost every time he has fought someone, including Merged Zamasu and Majin Buu.
