Caulifla Secretly Broke A DBZ Record In Dragon Ball Super

Caulifla Secretly Broke A DBZ Record In Dragon Ball Super

In Dragon Ball Super, Caulifla did what no other Saiyan warrior has done before - including Gohan - when she first accessed the Super Saiyan 2 form.

Caulifla Secretly Broke A DBZ Record In Dragon Ball Super

Caulifla’s Super Saiyan 2 transformation secretly broke a Dragon Ball Z record during the lead-up to the Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power. Caulifa, the first female Super Saiyan, was one of several new additions to the Dragon Ball universe introduced for the Universal Survival Saga. Though not on Champa’s team in the Universe 6 arc, she was a major player in the tournament.

Along with her best friend Kale, Caulifla was recruited by Cabba. At the time, neither character was even aware that becoming a Super Saiyan was possible, but after discovering the form, both characters proved to be formidable fighters for the Universe 6 team. They successfully outlasted Cabba, Hit, Frost, and more, and engaged in heated showdowns with Goku and Universe 11’s Pride Troopers. Together, the pair battled a weary Goku, who forced them to shatter their limits and reach new levels of power. Against Goku, Caulifla perfected the Super Saiyan 2 transformation, while Kale achieved a new version of the Legendary Super Saiyan form. After fusing to become Kefla, they managed to push Super Saiyan Blue Goku into going Ultra Instinct.

Their performance against Goku stands out, but another impressive feat accomplished by Caulifla is what happened in the scene where Cabba taught her an easy way to go Super Saiyan. After learning to channel her energy through her back and accessing the form for the first time, Caulifla put her newfound strength to the test and briefly powered up to Super Saiyan 2, as indicated by the blue lightning flashing around her body. Not only did Cabba's lesson change the Super Saiyan form forever, but what she did in that moment broke a record set by Gohan in the Cell Saga. After becoming a Super Saiyan and training for days in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Goku, Gohan hit Super Saiyan 2 but didn’t have the strength to maintain it. It was this incident that made Goku realize he alone was capable of beating Cell.

Caulifla Secretly Broke A DBZ Record In Dragon Ball Super

Caulifla outdid Gohan and more by going Super Saiyan 2 within minutes of achieving the first level. Gohan achieved it rather quickly as well, but not as nearly as fast as Caulifla, who easily shortened the transition between the two forms. Furthermore, Caulifla was able to gain full control over it within just a few hours, whereas with Gohan it took several days. Goku and Vegeta, who went Super Saiyan in the Frieza and Android Sagas respectively, didn’t attain the second level until several years later. Future Trunks had a similar waiting period between the two forms.

How fast Caulifla was able to become so powerful speaks volumes of her potential. It could be that she, like Goten and Trunks, possesses a great deal of S-Cells. Regardless of how her growth in power was possible, the incredible gains she made in Dragon Ball Super and the reveal that she already has plans to go Super Saiyan 3 are signs that she’ll be a force to be reckoned with, if and when she returns in the next anime.

Dragon Ball 5 Anime Characters That Could Defeat Jiren (& 5 Who Wouldnt Stand A Chance)

Dragon Ball 5 Anime Characters That Could Defeat Jiren (& 5 Who Wouldnt Stand A Chance) Jiren from Dragon Ball Super is one powerful warrior but in a fight vs anime characters like Jotaro, All Might & Arceus from Pokemon? How does he do? Few Dragon Ball antagonists have been as threatening as Jiren. No doubt, there’s plenty who’ve done some pretty terrifying things, like how Nappa tore through the Z Fighters or how Freiza blew up Namek. But Jiren faced down Goku going Super Saiyan and shrugged it off. He shut down Kale after she went into her Legendary Super Saiyan mode. Beating him took the combined efforts of Goku, Frieza, and Android 17. But just because he’s that powerful, doesn’t mean he isn’t capable of getting laid out. This list takes a look at five anime characters who could take Jiren down without a second thought, and five who would get beaten without Jiren even putting in effort. 10 DOESN'T STAND A CHANCE: ICHIGO Ichigo is the truth. He not only has the power of...

Dragon Ball 5 Fan Theories That Make No Sense (& 5 That Do)

Dragon Ball 5 Fan Theories That Make No Sense (& 5 That Do) Dragon Ball spawns a lot of fan theories from fans. While some fan theories involving Broly make sense, others with Frieza and Goku don't make sense. The Dragon Ball franchise is undoubtedly one of the most popular anime series around without a shadow of a doubt. Dragon Ball Z is a major reason why Japanese media managed to break into the Western mainstream, while Dragon Ball Super is a prime example of just how popular the series has proven to be, releasing almost two decades after its legendary predecessor finished its run. Truly, there is no anime that has reached the heights of Dragon Ball in popularity. The series is also notable for its rabid fanbase, latching onto any small hint — intentional or otherwise — and forming ostentatious and wild fan theories that are equal parts incredible and unbelievable. Out of the sheer wealth of fan theories available on the interwebs, there are 5 that are so ridiculous to the l...
