Dragon Ball 10 What If Fights (That Only Happened In Video Games)
The Dragon Ball universe is immense, with some showdowns between characters only happening in video games. Here are 10 "what if" fights!

The legacy of Dragon Ball is immense, spanning countless mediums of entertainment to enrapture the hearts of fans all over the world. Whether it be the manga, anime, or even video games, it's hard to find a person who has not been exposed to the brilliance of this glorious series. The immense power and quality martial arts on display in the series are without compare, making it one of the greatest shōnen anime of all time.
The fights in the series are excellent in every sense of the word, with fans salivating at the prospect of imagining "what-if" scenarios where their favorite fighters face off in battles that have never been explored in the official canon. The Dragon Ball video games have actually explored these situations to an extent, concocting dream fights that have satiated the demands of most Dragon Ball fans.
Here are 10 such what-if fights in Dragon Ball that only happened in the video games.
10 Raditz VS Bardock

Raditz was mostly a throwaway character in Dragon Ball Z, but this what-if scenario from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 puts him in the limelight in the best way imaginable.
Basically, during his fight with Piccolo, Raditz ends up underestimating Piccolo's strength and loses his memory after being hit with an Explosion Wave. The story then floats around as Raditz joins forces with Goku and team against Piccolo — who still hasn't shaken off his Demon King reputation — before regaining his memory and being conflicted about his goals and his newfound compassion.
After being rendered unconscious during a fight against Goku, Bardock appears to Raditz in a dream and fights against him, as a gift of sorts. This causes a change of heart as Raditz pilots his escape pod into the one containing Vegeta and Nappa.
9 Majin Piccolo VS Gohan

Another excellent what-if saga is from Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2. This story sees our favorite Demon King become evil as he turns into Majin Piccolo and causes no end of problems for the Z Warriors.
With Goku forced to get back to Heaven, the duty falls upon Gohan to knock some sense back into his mentor, which is quite a treat to play through.
8 Zarbon & Goku VS Frieza

Another what-if saga is from Budokai Tenkaichi 2. This story sees Zarbon settling upon a goal of gaining eternal beauty and youth through the Dragon Balls. This leads to him teaming up with Goku in order to fight against Frieza.
However, while Zarbon does get his wish at the end, this comes at the cost of his life — with Namek getting destroyed as a result of Frieza's attack, Krillin uses Earth's Dragon Balls to wish only Goku back. This leaves Zarbon stranded on Namek, which inevitably explodes.
7 Krillin & Android 18 VS Gohan & Videl

This particular what-if fight comes from Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast, where the World Martial Arts Tournament decides to include a Couples Tournament section. The finals of this tournament see Krillin and Android 18 go up against the team of Gohan and Videl.
In classic Krillin fashion, the balding fighter ends up taking a backseat as Android 18 pretty much takes on the team of Gohan and Videl on her own, single-handedly dispatching of both of them and winning the tournament.
6 Videl VS Piccolo

Speaking of Videl, another what-if fight from Raging Blast sees Videl angry at the fact that Gohan is more focused on his training with Piccolo instead of developing her fighting ability.
So, Videl decides to ask Piccolo to be her mentor, engaging in a spar with her and going so far as to request a battle against Goku and Vegeta.
5 Saibaman VS Nappa

This story is actually quite great and comes from the Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team video game. Basically, in this what-if saga, one of the Saibamen that Nappa unleashes upon the Z Fighters develops a conscience and decides to rebel against his masters.
The ending of this story is quite sad, as Nappa's attack on Gohan is absorbed by this Saibaman as opposed to Piccolo. It's a noble sacrifice, with the Saibaman telling Gohan that he was the only one who treated him like a person before dying.
4 Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, Bardock, & A Saibaman VS Frieza

The "Revenge Of The Saiyans" what-if saga from the original Budokai Tenkaichi is an excellent side story, where the Saiyans decide that enough's enough and rebel against the tyrant.
After mowing down Frieza's henchmen, the Saiyans (along with a Saibaman) decide to band together in one final stand against Frieza. The fight ends in a resounding victory as Vegeta unleashes a Galick Gun against Frieza that fells the Emperor once and for all.
3 Cellin VS Yamcha

This admittedly hilarious what-if saga comes from Dragon Ball Z: Budokai, where Krillin pushes Android 18 out of the way and ends up getting absorbed by Cell. The result is Cellin — a fighter that is extremely weak and is barely able to win against Yamcha, before being obliterated with a Tri-Beam from Tien.
The icing on the cake comes from the fact that this scenario was actually a dream Cell had while waiting for the Cell Games to start.
2 Future Trunks VS Super Buu

The entirety of Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai: Another Road is a what-if story where Majin Buu invades the world of Future Trunks. It's an excellent arc, with one of the highlights being Future Trunks' battle against Super Buu.
The latter half of this arc revolves around Future Trunks going back in the past to get reinforcements and fight against this threat, which lets familiar characters come back to the mix as well.
1 Broly VS Goku, Gohan, & Vegeta

Broly's character might've been fleshed out with his retcon in Dragon Ball Super, but there was a time when this character was nothing more than an out-of-control beast. Supersonic Warriors 2 decided to do justice by this character where Broly lands harshly on Earth, loses his memory, and becomes a friend of Mr. Satan.
Basically, he serves as a replacement to Majin Buu.
Mr. Satan enrolls Broly, where he sees Goku and gets his memory back. He proceeds to fight against Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan, beating them all to a pulp. However, before he can land the finishing blow, Mr. Satan reasons with him and manages to calm Broly down.
After this, he joins the Z Fighters and fights with them as well!
