Dragon Ball 10 Times Vegeta Had His Moment Stolen From Him
Dragon Ball's Saiyan Prince does not have a great track record when it comes to fights. Here are 10 times Vegeta had a moment stolen away from him.

Poor Vegeta. You can't help but feel sorry for the angsty Saiyan prince. For every moment Vegeta had in the spotlight, he always has it stolen by someone else, usually by Goku. Can't Dragon Ball's protagonist give his 2nd bestest buddy in the whole Universe a chance to kill a villain like Frieza or at least let him get the finishing blow on one of the bad guys?
Maybe someday Vegeta will get a chance to have his moment, but we won't be holding our breaths. Still, for this list, let's take a look at ten times Vegeta had his moment stolen from him, be it by Goku or someone else.
10 Not Killing Frieza in Super

There is no keeping a good villain down. When Frieza is resurrected from the dead in Dragon Ball Super, he sets his sights on getting revenge on Goku. However, he underestimates the training Goku and Vegeta have gone through and finds out the hard way that the two have achieved Super Saiyan Blue.
Just when Vegeta is about to lay the finishing blow on Frieza, the evil tyrant blows up the Earth, just as he did with Planet Namek. However, thanks to Whis's time-reversal, he's able to undo Frieza's mistake and allow Goku to land the killing blow. It may have been necessary, but it was still frustrating that Vegeta was unable to kill Frieza.
9 Any of his attacks on Perfect Cell

As much as it hurts to see Vegeta smacked around like a rag-doll, the guy often deserved it. After letting Cell achieve his perfect form, Vegeta once again does battle with the evil Android. Sadly, things don't go the way he wants them to, and the Saiyan is defeated by Cell with ease.
Making matters worse is that this wouldn't be the last time Cell humiliated Vegeta. After he returns and kills Trunks, Vegeta assaults Cell with a barrage of energy blasts to no avail. Even when his son is taken from him, Vegeta once again is left as a spectator; watching as someone else kills the bad guy.
8 Arm Broken by 18

After all his talk of being the strongest, Vegeta became a Super Saiyan and (arguably) surpassed Goku. Coming off his victory of killing Android 19, the Super Saiyan Prince goes after the next batch of Androids, starting with 18.
While Vegeta gave it all he had, he was outmatched by the female Android and had his arm broken. After all that time spent finding his groove, Vegeta's pride is cut down in mere minutes by some rookie that hasn't even been alive for an hour. Talk about a low blow. Even Trunks wasn't able to help his dad out and was knocked out by 18 in seconds.
7 Getting Hit by Hit

After taking on nearly every fighter in the Tournament of Destroyers, Vegeta is about to call it a day by defeating Hit. However, as with most things dealing with the Prince of all Saiyans, things don't go his way quickly. Hit uses the power of his time-skip to strike Vegeta in his pressure points.
Even when he transforms into his Super Saiyan Blue form, Hit easily overpowers and crushes Vegeta in no time. Making matters worse, Goku studies Hit and uses his newfound knowledge to fight against the assassin from the 6th Universe. While Goku doesn't defeat Hit, he comes pretty close.
6 Blowing himself up against Buu

This would have been the perfect cap to Vegeta's story arc. After settling down and starting a family, Vegeta decides to go back to being a villain and allows himself to be controlled by Babidi. After selfishly killing people and fighting Goku, Vegeta chooses to put his fight with his arch-rival behind him and goes up against Buu (after knocking out Goku, of course).
When he has no choice, Vegeta atones for his sins and gives his life to destroy Majin Buu. Sadly, in what should have been his greatest achievement, Majin Buu regenerates and continues to wreak havoc.
5 Having his tail chopped off

After Vegeta turns into a great ape, he's able to overpower Goku and nearly squeezes him to death. Gohan and Krillin try to help out, but nothing they do is strong enough to damage Vegeta.
Just when Vegeta believes victory is at hand, Yajirobe comes in and messes things up for the Prince of all Saiyans by chopping off his tail.
4 Being overpowered by Trunks

When the son overcomes something their father couldn't, you think they would be proud of their offspring. That's not the case with Vegeta. When Vegeta launched his Final Flash on Cell, the Android was able to regenerate and knock the Prince of all Saiyans out.
While he was unconscious, Trunks was able to become even stronger (physically, anyway) than Vegeta. However, instead of being proud of his son, Vegeta was angry that someone else had become even stronger than he ever was.
3 Beaten by Cell Jr.

What's worse than getting defeated by Cell? Well, how about being brutally punched around by one of his offsprings, the Cell Jrs. In an attempt to make Gohan get mad, Cell unleashes the Cell Jrs. on the Z-Fighters. Not only were Trunks and Goku suffering a beating from one of the Cell Jrs., but Vegeta had the worst defeat of them all.
Just as he unleashed his Final Flash on one of them, the Cell Jr. deflects the attack with ease. Cell, at least, lost one of his limbs, but his tiny creation was able to flick Vegeta's attack like it was an ant.
2 Eliminated from the Tournament of Power

During an encounter with his student, Cabba, Vegeta made a promise that he would use the Super Dragon Balls to bring the 6th Universe back to existence. Despite teaming up with Goku and 17 and going beyond Super Saiyan Blue, Vegeta was unable to defeat the mighty Jiren.
Beaten and humiliated, Vegeta had been eliminated by Jiren. He did give his remaining energy to Goku, but the damage was already done. Vegeta wasn't able to keep his promise and had to let his arch-rival finish off Jiren.
1 His failed attack on Frieza

Vegeta has had a lot of failures in his life, but his biggest one was when he went up against Frieza. While Vegeta tried his damnedest, nothing he did even phased Frieza. His most vigorous attack was bounced right back at him, and it left Vegeta paralyzed with fear.
Despite all his talk about defeating Frieza and avenging the Saiyans, he was unable to get the vengeance he desired. Of all the moments Vegeta had stolen from him, this one hurt the most.
