Dragon Ball 10 Times Goku Acted Like A Child
Although Goku is the hero of the Dragon Ball series, the protagonist is not always mature and sensible. Sometimes he can act quite childish.

The Dragon Ball series is full of great characters but there is no more recognizable person in the series than its leading man, Goku. His history in this anime and manga has solidified him as one of the most iconic characters in both anime and pop culture in general. However, like with most characters he comes with his own set of flaws.
Many times in the series Goku can come off as a bit childish and at times this childishness leads to some of the worst mistakes in Dragon Ball. If there's one thing the fans can't stand about him it's his tendency to fall back on this flaw.
10 His Teasing Of Zeno Put The Universe In Trouble

Everyone knows that Goku just can't help but get excited about a challenge. Upon hearing that he could have the chance to face powerful warriors from other universes he got as hyper as a child.
In his excitement, he went right up to the face of the Omni-King, Zeno, and got him to bring together these universes for a big tournament. This "Tournament of Power" could have resulted in the end of all things.
9 He Almost Let Frieza Live

One of Goku's most childish ways is the fact that he always believes there is good in others. This was demonstrated by when he let Piccolo and Vegeta live and was somewhat proven true by his friends who were once enemies.
His childlike innocence also led him to think this was the case with Frieza as well. Sadly it didn't happen this time and Goku realized he had finally met someone truly evil.
8 Having To Be Forced To Work

Goku is nothing short of a free spirit. Ever since early Dragon Ball episodes he's been shown to follow the beat of his own drum, never living as an average human on Earth would.
This childish mindset has followed him into adulthood and resulted in him being nothing short of a bum. This has gone to the point of his own wife having to force him to get a job.
7 He Jumps Out Of Every Adult Situation

Another very childish thing that Goku has done on multiple occasions is at least attempt to escape any type of adult responsibility he has no matter the obstacle.
In the film, Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan this is seen when he is tasked with being interviewed with Chi Chi in order to get Gohan into a good school. In classic Goku fashion, he uses the first excuse he can find to escape.
6 He Is Constantly Training Instead Of Other Duties

One thing a kid can be expected to do is to ignore actual duties and do what they want to do. This is also something that Goku does on a constant basis.
While he is far from a bad husband and parent, Goku is constantly running out on his place in his household to train instead. Funny enough, even Vegeta gets on to him about this.
5 He Didn't Take His Medicine

During the Android Saga, Trunks came to the past to warn Goku of the androids and his incoming heart virus. During this warning, he gave Goku the task of taking the heart virus medicine in order to keep him alive and well.
Goku being Goku began taking the medicine but soon stopped due to fact he felt nothing was wrong with him. When the heart virus actually hits he realized this was a horrible mistake.
4 He Let His Curiosity Best Him

Kids always learn the hard way that curiosity killed the cat. No one would expect a grown man to have to learn this but Goku proves that to be absolutely true.
During the Cell Saga's fight between Goku and Cell, Goku is at the right level to bring a quick end to the android. However, he decides to let his son jump in and fight him in order to satiate his curiosity and see how far Gohan can go, potentially dooming the entire planet.
3 Playing Monkey See Monkey Do

One hilarious childlike piece of Goku's character is his tendency to copy opponents in battles, which can really frustrate him one way or another as he did with Kid Buu.
In this battle for the universe, Goku is bitten by the ancient enemy and screams in pain. Of course, he in turn goes in and bites the pink demon right back.
2 He Constantly Teases His Rival

Vegeta is no innocent man when it comes to acting like a child despite being nowhere near Goku's level. This makes him an easy target for Goku's kiddish teasing.
Whenever these two are together Goku is always teasing Vegeta over his training and their compared power levels. This is one thing that makes their dynamic so great.
1 Goku Always Gets Jealous

Jealousy always ends up finding its way to Goku once he and Vegeta become training buddies under the watchful eyes of Lord Beerus and his assistant Angel, Whis.
Like a kid finding out his friend got a game before they, Goku is always getting jealous when Vegeta goes off to train without him or while he's stuck working. This constantly happens throughout Dragon Ball Super and leaves Goku in a bad mood.
