Dragon Ball 10 Times Bulma Proved She Loved Vegeta
At first glance, Bulma & Vegeta come across as an unlikely couple. Still, Bulma has proved time after time that she loves the Prince of all Saiyans.

They may have begun as Dragon Ball’s most unexpected couple, but Bulma and Vegeta have since grown into one of the most popular. During Dragon Ball Z, the likelihood of Bulma ending up with somebody other than Yamcha seemed remote, despite their bumpy relationship. Yet series creator Akira Toriyama, fond of twists, had the series’ most prominent genius and the gruff Saiyan Prince fall for each other and start a family.
While Vegeta’s grumpiness can aggravate Bulma, she genuinely loves him, seeing things in him no one else does. Vegeta may intimidate some, but Bulma’s never been afraid to show on many occasions that she cares.
10 When Bulma Argued With Chi-Chi Over Who’d Win The World Martial Arts Tournament

Loving each other means rooting for one another, and Bulma certainly was cheering Vegeta on at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. In an anime-only scene, Bulma eagerly boasted to Yamcha that she felt Vegeta was the most likely fighter to win, especially after their son Trunks had won the junior division. Chi-Chi, however, who was sitting next to Bulma, highly disagreed, leading to a comical shouting match over whether Vegeta or Goku would win. The argument was a perfect example of how Bulma and Vegeta’s relationship had improved over time, even if the scene may not have been conceived by Akira Toriyama himself.
9 When Bulma Traveled To The Future To Help Stop Zamasu

Bulma has helped Vegeta and the other Z Fighters many times, but usually away from the action. In the Dragon Ball Super anime, however, Bulma chose to jump right in the thick of it by traveling with Goku, Vegeta, and the adult Trunks to the future to face Zamasu. Bulma explained it was to help Goku and Vegeta return to the present day afterward, as they didn’t know how to pilot the time machine, but she also wanted to see what the future looked like. To risk her life to bring her husband home certainly speaks volumes about how much Bulma cares for Vegeta.
8 When Bulma Admired Vegeta’s Efforts To Liven Her Birthday Party (Without Knowing He Was Trying To Please Beerus)

Battle of Gods had one of the most famous “Vegeta loves Bulma” moments ever, when Vegeta’s rage over Beerus hitting Bulma actually boosted his powers to Super Saiyan God levels without him needing to reach the form. The Dragon Ball Super adaptation of the movie, however, added some nice “Bulma loves Vegeta” moments to the mix.
When Bulma invited the just-arrived Beerus and Whis to her birthday party, Vegeta did everything he could to keep Beerus from getting angry and destroying Earth, including cooking several tasty treats. Bulma was flattered and expressed her appreciation, believing Vegeta’s efforts were for her… never suspecting the truth.
7 When Vegeta Was Killed By The Androids In An Alternate Future

Bulma and Vegeta’s relationship didn’t get to bloom in Future Trunks’ time period the way it did in the main Dragon Ball timeline. The reason was that Future Trunks’ Vegeta, like the rest of Goku’s friends, was killed by Androids 17 and 18. Future Bulma, however, still remembered him with a certain fondness. When describing Vegeta to Trunks, she acknowledged that while the Saiyan Prince had committed many terrible deeds, she had still sensed a capacity for kindness within him, one that she knew Vegeta worked hard to suppress. Future Trunks, however, struggled to see that quality at first when meeting Vegeta in person.
6 When She Mourned Vegeta’s Transformation Into Babidi’s Servant

Family life with Bulma and Trunks had, in Vegeta’s eyes, made the Saiyan Prince weak. For that reason, he allowed Babidi to control him, believing the Majin power-up would make him strong enough to be Goku’s equal. While Vegeta had the strength of will to disobey Babidi’s commands, he first chose to revel in the cruelty the wizard brought out in him by killing several spectators of the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament. Rather than hate him, Bulma was shocked and dismayed. In the anime, she even fainted at the sight of Majin Vegeta’s attack, unable to reconcile his actions with the man she married.
5 When The Two Reunited At The End Of The Buu Saga

The Dragon Ball Z anime could be pretty clever at finding ways to heighten the emotion in certain scenes from the manga. When Goku and Vegeta arrive on Kami’s Lookout with Kibito Kai, Good Buu, and Dende after defeating Kid Buu, the manga portrays a happy, wordless celebration, with Bulma giving a general thumbs up to the just-arrived warriors. The anime, however, decided to up the romance by a small notch, having Bulma specifically give a thumbs-up to Vegeta while Trunks gently pulled at his father’s arm. It was the perfect way for Bulma to show her love for a husband who rarely displays affection publicly.
4 When Bulma Cheered Vegeta On For Taking Trunks To The Amusement Park

While training for the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, Vegeta promised to take Trunks to an amusement park if he landed a punch on Vegeta’s face. The Saiyan Prince finally makes good on his promise somewhat in Dragon Ball Super, going instead with Trunks and Bulma to a resort.
While there, Bulma noted how Vegeta had actually put his family before training for once, though Vegeta stubbornly refused to admit it. Later, when Vegeta lost his temper and flew off during a party, Bulma observed he’d actually been more patient than usual, smiling while contemplating Vegeta’s subtle efforts to be a better family man.
3 When Bulma Mourned Vegeta’s Second Demise At Frieza’s Hands

Bulma never witnessed Frieza kill Vegeta on Namek, nor were she and Vegeta in a relationship at the time. Back then, the chances of them getting together seemed remote, especially since Vegeta had threatened to kill her when they had met.
However, things were very different in Resurrection ‘F,’ where Frieza killed Vegeta once again. By then, Bulma and Vegeta had been together for some time and were raising Trunks. Thus when Frieza destroyed Earth, Bulma was devastated that Whis was unable to save Vegeta and her parents. Luckily, Whis’ Temporal Do-Over reversed Earth’s destruction and Vegeta’s demise, reuniting the couple.
2 When Bulma Created A Blutz Wave Generator So Vegeta Could Go Super Saiyan 4

GT may not be canon, but even there, Bulma’s love for Vegeta is strong. The Saiyan Prince was about to join Super Saiyan 4 Goku in battling Nuova Shenron, but Bulma stopped him, asking if he was strong enough to win. While Vegeta was taken aback by the question, Bulma later explained she was working on a Blutz Wave generator that would allow Vegeta to transform into his Great Ape form without a tail, so that he could then power up to Super Saiyan 4. At that moment, Bulma proved she not only cared for Vegeta’s life but also respected his desire to become a stronger fighter.
1 When Bulma Cried Over Vegeta’s Sacrifice To Stop Majin Buu

Vegeta’s Majin phase was a rollercoaster ride of emotions for Bulma. On top of having to watch in horror as Majin Vegeta killed dozens at the World Martial Arts Tournament arena, she also learned from Goku that Vegeta had not survived his battle with Majin Buu. Vegeta had sacrificed himself for his family, unleashing all of his energy in an explosion that left Buu in pieces and turned Vegeta’s body to ash. While she did not yet know that Vegeta’s sacrifice had failed to destroy Buu, Bulma was devastated to learn what had happened to her husband, screaming while tears fell from her eyes.
